From a superb German collection, we are pleased to offer this stunning BMW M3 E30 in Diamond Black Metallic. The 1986 BMW M3 was the first of its kind and was born directly from motorsport. When the car was unveiled at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1985, it caused a sensation. Thanks to its numerous championship victories in touring car racing, the BMW M3 quickly became one of M GmbH’s most iconic cars – and remains so today more than ever.
This beautifully maintained M3 was manufactured in November 1988 for the Japanese market and first registered there on 20 July 1989, where it covered just under 93,000 kilometres during the first 25 years of its life.
In spring 2014, the vehicle was re-imported by an official BMW dealer near Augsburg and registered in Germany for the first time. Around a year later, in June 2015, the current owner acquired the M3 for his collection, where the vehicle has remained to this day – for over 10 years.
The M3 underwent a comprehensive service at BMW as recently as October 2025. As part of this, the MOT was renewed (with no faults), and the inspection in accordance with §23 STVZO was carried out, meaning the vehicle can be registered with an H-licence plate upon its next registration.
The vehicle has already been completely repainted once in the original colour, Diamond Black Metallic, to a very high standard. The paintwork and interior are in very good condition. The vehicle also features an electric sunroof, electric windows and air conditioning.
