This fabulously beautiful W140-series 600 SEL V12 is one of the finest of its kind we have ever come across! A rare opportunity for any discerning collection!

The 600 SEL is in absolutely superb condition, which is essentially equivalent to that of a year-old car. The car looks like new, smells like new and, the moment you step inside, transports you straight back to 1992. The powerful M120 engine under the bonnet not only makes a visually impressive statement but also demonstrates the absolute pinnacle of engineering at the time. Even back then, the V12 engine in the S 600 and S 600 Long commanded a premium of 65,000 DM over the eight-cylinder version – a third of the total price.

As mentioned, the vehicle’s paintwork and interior are in outstanding condition. Naturally, the vehicle has never been in an accident and has never been repainted. With just 10,100 miles on the clock in over 35 years, this is hardly surprising.

The car was first registered in June 1992 in sunny California. The first owner kept the 600 for almost 20 years before selling it in 2012 – with a mileage of 9,119 miles – to the second owner in Washington. This owner, in turn, drove the car a mere 350 further miles over the next 5 years. In 2017, the car then found its way back to Germany to join the collection, where it remains to this day. The vehicle comes with the complete original owner’s folder, including the original service booklet and all booklets and owner’s manuals.

This vehicle is simply a must-see! Its indescribably superb original condition – even after 35 years – is a testament to loving care and a passion for collecting. We are now, on behalf of our client, seeking the next discerning collector who will continue to look after this gem for the next few decades, if possible.
