Timeless splendour – The Porsche 911 S from 1967
In an era when cars were not only a means of transport, but also a manifestation of style and speed, one name undeniably stands out: Porsche. And in this glittering pantheon of automotive art, the Porsche 911 S sits enthroned as an icon of timeless elegance and unrivalled performance.
The 911 S, with its higher-compression 160 hp carburettor engine, was the top model in the 1967/68 model year and was the fastest German production car at the time. The Porsche 911 S with short wheelbase (“SWB”) is therefore one of the most sought-after models of the original 911 today.
The vehicle:
A vehicle that is certainly unrivalled among these is this fully restored example in Germany, which has only been driven 230 km for maintenance since the restoration was completed. We cordially invite you to get to know this superbly restored vehicle below!
A vehicle of the absolute top class. Like new (or better). Very rare!
This Porsche 911 S is an absolute dream car. According to the Porsche birth certificate, the vehicle was delivered in Mannheim on 25 October 1967. Even then, it was in the exterior colour “Polo Red”, which is how the vehicle still looks today after the uncompromising full restoration.
In recent years, the Porsche has been completely restored in Germany with great attention to detail. There is extensive photographic documentation of the restoration with more than 350 pictures. The body was ice-blasted, derusted and expertly rebuilt in a Bavarian specialist workshop and painted in its original colour. The paintwork was carried out to the highest standard.
The engine and gearbox, which are still the original delivery components, were dismantled down to the last screw and rebuilt using original parts. Axles and all other add-on parts were also restored to new condition.
The interior was also renewed in the course of the restoration. The black leather shows no signs of wear.
Thanks to the extremely skilful restoration, the vehicle is not only beautiful to look at, but also shines on the technical side with its outstanding driving characteristics. The almost 250 kilometres that the vehicle has covered since the restoration are the result of careful driving, making the 911 S truly outstanding to drive.
